Save our support Systems. Save our Science. Save our Society.
ME/CFS, Long COVID and disability communities are joining together to protest at the U.S. Capitol on May 12th to send a SOS signal to Congress: Save our Social Supports. Save our Science. Save our Society.
#MEAction is organizing the protest to call on Congress to protect the basic infrastructures that support our communities: Medicaid, home care support, research funding and open science. Healthcare, research funding and disability were already incredibly fragile for our communities and now we are at risk of losing everything. We cannot let our ship sink. It’s time to send out our SOS signal. #MEAction encourages all people with disabilities to join this fight.
Protest Details: We are protesting at Upper Senate Park next to the Capitol building in Washington, DC on May 12th, 12 - 2 p.m ET.

TAKE ACTION FROM HOME
The most important action you can take on and leading up to May 12th is posting your SOS message on social media so that we can maximize our reach beyond our community. Post a picture, share a reel, re-share our posts. Please see our toolkit for messaging tips and resources.
May 12th is Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) Awareness Day. On this day, the millions of people with ME (#MillionsMissing) gather to demand recognition, research and clinical care for people with ME, also know as ME/CFS.
